Dr. Zachary Turnbull, instructor in anesthesiology, has been named Director of Performance Improvement for the Center for Perioperative Outcomes, a division of the Department of Anesthesiology.
Working with key stakeholders, Dr. Turnbull will lead efforts to collect and analyze performance metrics across the department, and conduct research on quality and performance improvement in anesthesiology. He will work closely with the Director of Quality and Patient Safety, Dr. Patricia Fogarty Mack, to identify opportunities for the department to become more efficient. In addition, Dr. Turnbull will continue to collaborate with Billing and Finance and with the compliance team as the clinical lead in monitoring the department’s real-time compliance efforts.
